Shubhanshu Shukla becomes first Indian onboard ISS
Recently, as part of the Axiom-4 mission, Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla and his team docked with the International Space Station, making him the first Indian to enter the ISS. This is a historic achievement for India, as he is also the second Indian astronaut to go to space after Rakesh Sharma. The Axiom-4 mission will give Shukla the experience he needs for India’s Gaganyaan mission, planned for 2027.
Honda successfully lands a reusable rocket
Recently, the Japanese company Honda successfully conducted a test launch of its reusable rocket. The rocket, which isn’t officially named yet, reached an altitude of 300 meters and landed vertically back at the launch site. It is important to know that this wasn’t a full rocket, just the bottom stage and 300 meters is nowhere near space, but this was still a sucessfull technology demonstration.
